Mahj 101 - American Mahjong Beginner Level Course

This course is for the beginner player. We will take the time to introduce you to the history of the game we have all fallen in love with and then walk you through the basics: The Tiles: The three suites, the dragons, the winds, the flowers and the jokers. The NMJL Card: An introduction to the National Mahjong League Card, how to understand the sections and lines, how the colors and patterns work, and the beginning of recognizing a hand. The Wall: How to build and break the wall, how to choose the East seat, how to deal your tiles. Organizing Your Rack: A system for organizing your tiles so that a winning hand becomes identifiable. You will learn in an environment that is relaxed, fun, and upbeat where the instructors are patient.You will be with a group of fellow beginners who are just as excited to learn as you.
